A Fateful Decision.

When I graduated from advertising school I handed my teacher a letter. I thanked him and expressed my interest to return one day as an instructor. Fast-forward a few years and the phone rang. It was the same teacher, Mr. Mike Whitlow. Mike was both my mentor and the architect of The Book Shop, the school he created in 1998.  

For over eleven years now I’ve been a Book Shop instructor, teaching our highest level class (Teams). I’ve had the great pleasure of helping my students build their books and launch their careers. Many of them have gone on to great success and several have won awards under my creative direction at the One Show Young Ones Competition. 23 One Show awards to date, including gold and bronze pencils. 

Most importantly, I’ve had the opportunity to pay forward a bit of what Mike and others have given me, inspiration.
